Ashton Perennials is a growing nursery, propagating and growing a broad range of choice plants for the discerning gardener. We have a particular interest in Hostas & shade loving plants, Day Lillies and Grasses. Most of the plants listed on the website are perennial, many are native and the vast majority are fully hardy. All of our plants are grown in reduced peat compost. We are fortunate to have our own well on site for irrigation, and where possible use recycled paper and packaging throughout the mail order process.
Every plant featured on this site is in stock and ready for immediate dispatch. We normally acknowledge and process all orders within 48 hours of receipt so there is no long wait for your plants. All orders are despatched on Thursdays, by overnight express courier service (DHL), with the benefit of online order tracking.
New plants are added regularly during the growing season and can be seen in our monthly Special Offers update. We only despatch plants to UK addresses; if you are visiting this site from a country outside the United Kingdom we apologise but we do not have the capability to handle export orders.
We have a good selection of grasses, offering architectural contrast, height and form for both the summer and winter garden. A wide choice of Hostas compliement an broad range of shade-loving plants, to give year round interest and colour in what can be a diff icult area of the garden.
 Plants sent by mail order are the same size and quality as those sold at the nursery. The photograph shows a typical (1.5 litre) mail order plant with a 30cm (1ft) ruler for comparison.
We pride ourselves on the quality of plants we sell and the speed of service we offer.
WARRANTIES and RETURNS
We believe all plants sent out by us are true to name and every effort is made to ensure they are of the best quality. We offer no warranty as to description, quality or any other matter. Due to poor planting conditions, unfavourable weather or neglect, plants will fail and therefore we will only consider complaints made within seven days of receiving the plants. On receipt plants should be unpacked and inspected. If the plants are damaged or are unacceptable to you please contact us. We will always endeavour to resolve any complaint quickly and to your satisfaction, by replacing plants or offering a refund. We may ask for the plants to be returned, in which case we will refund the return postage. Nothing in this statement should be construed as a change to your statutory rights as a consumer.
ORDER CANCELLATION
You may cancel your order up to the day prior to dispatch. The dispatch date will be the date notified in our email acknowledgement of your order. If you decide to cancel your order you must notify us by email. We will refund any monies you have paid to us less a 7.5% administration charge, which we will make to cover the credit card charges taken from your payment by Paypal and our own internal costs.
SUBSTITUTES
No substitutes are offered if we do not have a particular plant. We try to keep stock levels on the website accurate but if for any reason we cannot supply a plant you have paid for we will make an immediate credit card refund and let you know.
PRICES
Prices in this catalogue are for well grown 2 litre or 3 litre pot size, except where stated in the plant descriptions. In the spring or autumn we may send bare-root plants, divisions or dormant bulbs or tubers. In order to offer a year round service and speedy delivery we cannot always guarantee that plants have not been recently propagated, but will always tell you if this is the case.
